View in High Quality. Sony HC9 night test. Handheld, auto and manual focus. Onboard mic. Natural and artifical light. 1 Halogen flashlight spot on subject. Focus difficulties left in edit. Compare to focus on daylight tests.
np. i was using both. the focus wheel is in a bad spot behind the LCD, next to the mic, so you can hear me scrolling. i've found it has an inherent problem of auto-focusing on ANYTHING except what i want it to; manual focusing is best but not always practical esp in fast action shooting. I typically leave all problems i have w/ the cameras in my posted videos so ppl can have a *real* idea of the probs this camera has. It is difficult to find a camera w/o *any* issues. i do love this cam.
Dumb question (sorry), but were you auto focusing or toggling the manual focus? I just purchased the same camera online (about 4 hours prior to this writing). Thanks! I think the footage and subject matter are great!
Sorry, I have a bad habit of commenting before reading the movie info!
