My coffee maker burned out and I came up with this method in a pinch. I used the stove, my coffee pot, a sauce pan and a collapsable steamer basket. Could also use for camping!!!

1. Measure water level in pot as usual
2. Pour into a sauce pan and heat to almost boiling or as hot as you like it.
3. In the meantime, take your collapsable steamer basket and open it up to insert coffee filter and appropriate amount of grounds, close leaving the opening wide enough to pour in hot water. (Be sure sides of filter are upright and not drooping or you will get grounds in)
4. Rest steamer basket in the opening of your coffee pot.
5. When water is at suitable temperature, slowly pour into steamer basket opening a little at a time so as not to over fill above the filter( or you will get grounds in)
6. Be sure to check that the filter is clinging nicely to the sides and not falling in.
7. Viola!! You have coffee!!!!!
(If it is stronger than you like, just add some more water through the top or just dump it staight into the pot. Enjoy!!!
