Along with "Fire Pro Wrestling" series, this is my favourite 2D wrestling game ever! Forget mayor Mike Haggar, this is where it all began, the wrestling ring. I did my best, but sadly could not pull off Zangief's 360 piledriver in the video (grab, spin 360, attack+jump, its one of the hardest special moves to pull of in this game. more so with a joypad instead of an arcade stick). I spend two whole Summer vacations dumping coins in the local arcade playing this. It was fun to figure out special moves and secrets when there was no Internet to look them up. Trivia note, the wrestler that shows up in the intro is not on the game, but he does show up on the sequel, which is a CPS2 board and plays more like "Street Fighter II" then this game. This was converted to the SNES a few years later, and it even featured the 4 player mode using the SNES multitap, its one of finest conversions ever made from any CPS1 game. The Megadrive version did not match up with the SNES graphics and sound capabilities, but it did offer a all new spiked ring environment to fight on (and its the only game on the Megadrive that lets you play as Haggar without a Mega-CD, so it's not all bad, right?). I really wish Capcom would remember they did this brilliant game back in 1993, because I would love to get a HD remix of this... where I could play has both Haggar and Zangief!

  • I've nailed some Spinning Pildrivers on some people in the SNES version.

But Biff/Gunloc's flipping splash bomb thing and Scorp's jumping spinning slam thing are the ones I can nail easily.

  • Ill stand by what I said, I really think the spinning piledriver is the toughest move to pull of in this game. Still, when you do pull it ...its awesome. =)

  • Well, Oni's Neck Wrecker is done the exact same way, so that's not any easier to do.

  • Oh yeah! Silly me, I believed Oni's was just 360 spin+attack. The problem really is the dual button presses whie doing a grab, it's so easy to screw it up. "Muscle Bomber Duo" solves this problem by making the "pin" button also "grab". Check my "Muscle Bomber Duo" video, I pulled it there on my first attempts. =)

  • Can you do Darkstalkers: The Night Warriors?

  • I have already done it, search for them. =)

  • 0:22 "Home town: Kiev, Russia" fail

  • What the hell, El Stinger fighting in Los Angeles and Gomez in Mexico? lol

  • Manly Man Masters!!!!

  • @ShiryuGL You do realize that's the running gag about Mike Haggar and Zangief? They talk mad smack about each other, but they never have been in the ring.

Haggar used the 360, then Zangief "copied" it. That's the reason for their intense rivalry.

  • Gunloc= Guile?

  • i'm looking for people for online games 2v2, write me if you are interested =)

  • Ha ha ha "Rumored to be related to a famous street fighter"...No surprise who that is since Capcom made this game as well as Street Fighter with Guile.

  • I have the one for super nintendo from 1993

  • Ohh! I want my mommy.. mon
