THE MAGIC ROUNDABOUT - ORIGINAL BBC 1970's EPISODE

A 1970's edition of the seminal Children's TV show "The Magic Roundabout" written and voiced by the unique Eric Thompson. Why this isn't repeated or released on DVD is beyond me. Classic stuff!!!

The programme is originally a French production with English sound dubbed in by the late British actor Eric Thompson. The programme first started in black and white on French TV in the mid '60s. I think the Psychedelic references were added later by British TV, because they used different names for the characters.

Pretty amazing dude, I have been looking for this show but I don't think we have it here in the U.S. but I remember this when I was a kid in England in the days of 1970 when my dad was in the U.S.A.F. at the time. Thanks for posting! A friend of mine just sent this one today.

He is definitely stoned. That's why he was called Dylan... in fact the whole set of writers must have been on acid

The 1st, original and best 'before-the- news' slot filler for kids.

I remember a new series bein made in mid 90s with Nigel Planer narrating.

This show was created in France, but the BBC didnt have or want to use the French scripts so they made up the story based on the video. So what the story was really about, we may never know!
