It said $400k, not $400 million. What you're buying for $400k is an entire robotic development platform for a large R&D team. Personal robots like this one will start out around $5k-$10k and then drop in price as they perform better. By the mid 2020s we expect much better robots than the PR2 to go for a few hundred bucks.
