Thats not even a good quality player...xbox 360 for hd playback...come on...play a bluray disc...360 dont even do true hd...its 1080p upconverted and if you play it straight thru the xbox its only 480p upconverted...the xbox hd dvd player is ok but just xbox playing...the picture quality is crap

If you want a pioneer plasma your out of luck they discontinued them due to loss in profits
So Panasonic bought most of their engineers so pioneer plasma technology is in Panasonic's plasma range

That looks as good a black level as my Pioneer Kuro 5020FD, which I'm watching this on.
I think the new Panasonics use the same technology.
