AD500 Circa Dinarobin - by the Moors

15th century Cirne - by the Portuguese

16th century Mauritz Nassau - by the Dutch

17th century Isle de France - by the French

18th century British Mauritius - by the British

20th century Isle of Mauritius - finally by us.

Interesting isn't it? I really miss my island much as well.

@Adish0287 Sorry for that dumbass roshsucks comments. Mauritius is a beautiful country with beautiful people, just like Fiji. I am originally from Fiji and am proud of my heritage, though we have our racial struggles in our country. We do have a similar history and I understand that our Hindi is not so pure.We speak Fiji-Hindi, which is due to the blend of people from various parts of India living together in one small island country. Lets not degrade each other but celebrate our heritage :)
