why did they all work with him for 16 years if he was such a bad guy.he seems alright.I guess everyone would like a little more money.this goes on in almost all bands after they break up.just glad they got together at all.

@ClemsyDiggs Furthermore, the reason Robbie wanted The Band to stop was to try and save their lives. Levon thought he was full of crap, until they started up again in the 80's then whoops someone died.
Robbie didn't just crawl out from under a rock, and truth be told he was the most sober and stable of the members after Garth. All of them are/were great. But Robbie wrote tons of those songs.

Rick Danko, as much I loved the guy, had serious drug issues and made some seriously bad personal decisions. Richard Manual suffered from depression. At the end of the day we all are responsible for our own lives and conditions. I agree with MrWittlez. Blaming Robertson for their deaths is unfair and absurd. If not for Robbie, ...The Band? Never would have been,

It seems to me that it is very fashionable to dislike Robbie, but I mean he did put alot of effort into The Band just as the other's did and I mean in a way he deserves all the credit he's gotten, seriously he was writing most of the songs. But then again he has also taken to much credit too, but going as far a to say that he is to blame for Richard and Rick's death's are going a bit over board!
What happened to them after the Band broke up saw strictly up to them.

Rick and Richard would probably be alive today if not for Robbies actions. He is a thief and an egotistical piece of crap. When I hear Levon sing, it takes me back to my youth. He is the greatest performer in the world.

This clip would be better if other members of the Band were interviewed. But Robbie likes the spotlight, and hes the one in front of the cameras. I respect Robbie's guitar playing, and I think he can really write, but he didnt do it by himself, despite what he may think.

This version of "I don´t believe you" is very very very good.
The whole documentary is very good.Saw it only once.
It was an only TV production.Robbie´s eyes can send you under hypnosis.

@LBjim I agree...Robbie always promotes the concept that he was thankful for having these 3 great singers to write for and Garth for the musicianship but he seems like a prick...there's gotta be a reason Levon hasn't worked with him since 1976!
Robbie wasn't the Band. They were a collaborate effort. But he took liberties and "stole" all the credit for all those song. He essentially ripped his bandmates and "friends" off..Robbie is living like a king while the others have to hustle for work at their age. Damn look what happened to Richard Manuel and Rick Danko...I hope he doesn't sleep like a baby at night...
