Do you really think a big show like CSI could rip shit off, just like that? They have obviously paid the guy, who came up with this idea in the first place, so they could lend it.

Deffinatley agree it beeing a rip off but the original wasnt one take. It was seven.

"Homage"? I know you're being tongue in cheek but an homage would give some kind of 'nod' to the original - other than ripping it off shot for shot and hiding the interior and exteriors transitions with a cheap wipe (whereas the original was all ONE shot).
A "nod" to the original would be like a clown mask hanging on someone's cubicle.
This is just a ripoff and they never gave the original any credit for it.... that's lame, especially when it's blatant.

I wouldn't say rip off so much as a homage to carousel, even if its not acknowledged :) still gunna watch it too.
