Airwolf 2nd Unit Footage (FSX): Cockpit Film #2

Test to duplicate in-cockpit filming. All footage shot from left seat and will be "flopped" for FSX Airwolf episodes. Software used: FSX with Megascenery SoCal for textures and Dreamscapes ProMesh California for mesh. Shot using a JVC HD camera against a widescreen monitor . . . NOT FRAPS! :)

Stunning. Absolutely stunning. But Tom, what do you mean "shot using an HD camera against a widescreen monitor"? Do you mean you "flew", then played it back, then shot it with the camera in-front of the monitor playback?

That's right. I flew it in-cockpit from the right seat, and recorded it as a replay (and shifting the POV to the left seat). Instead of FRAPS (a popular in-game recorder), I found that my HD camera against a widescreen monitor captures at a similar resolution, no vertical bars moving up and down the screen, and no loss of in-game FPS (since it isn't rendering an .avi through the computer).
