  • mr williams and sowells are 2 of the greatest economic minds alive today and yet thanks to the brainwashing etc, only few of the black population knows about them.

  • And because they think corporations don't offer just compensation for labor... But nobody forces people to work anywhere.

It's not possible to systematically tax away profits. The only way a company can stay in business in the first place is to pass that cost onto the consumer through increased prices or nonmonetary costs. What you can do with profits through taxation, is to either seize profits as a one-time confiscation, decrease the MRP of labour with a concomitant drop in wages or employment, or redistribute money to your favoured business interests who know the tax loopholes

  • @gustjorodedheo The individuals involved already pay taxes. Any money that doesn't go to expenses goes to people who pay income taxes anyway. By making to corporation pay, the money ends up double-taxed/

  • @shamgar001 so what then? They should just ride off of the backs of everyone else?

  • @gustjorodedheo But they don't pay taxes anyway. If you raise taxes for the sake of "fairness", you're just punishing someone who isn't the corporation. It's like trying to shoot a ghost, hitting the person behind it, and trying to correct that by shooting more.

  • @Huboons

Then there is no hope for you.

  • @Keeban3 Again, your post is a Non sequitur.

  • @Huboons

That's right, the idea that the OWS people are taking orders from the 'tyrants in government that want to take over those sectors' is ridiculous. It makes no sense. And you would have to be more than just drunk or high to defend it.

If you are still confused look at my original post. If that doesn't clear anything up, there is no hope for you. Its a really simple concept, the desires of one group does not explain the actions of a different group with different desires.

  • @Keeban3 "politicians on wall street" - ??? Are you drunk? high? Your post makes zero sense.

  • @Huboons

Yes and thats why you see the politicians on wall street telling the occupyers what they should be pissed about. Think before you speak. OWS are not 'the tyrants', so explain to me how what 'the tyrants' want matters at all?
