Whats with the title? Bad Run-say what?? You Trollin' for more views?? Looks like you came through right side up with all your gear and no one hurt. Doesn't get any better than that. Some people want to count style points, I guess, but bad runs mean someone got hurt or you lost some gear, in my book.

Wrong frame setup, indeed. Please explain if you ever come back to this thread how the frame is wrong hahaha. Frame and gear look just fine.

Yes, that is not a stern rig. I also ran Lava backwards this spring (2010). I was trained in high water cataract canyon to utilize that technique (Powell technique it is called for J Wesely Powell). Anyway your run looked good under the circumstances, it was humpin in there! Just looked like you had to reset an oar clip which cost you a stroke and left you slightly sideways. Good run I say, cheers.

yeah you dont throw a stern frame on there unless you have paddlers...sketchy

Wrong frame set up for Grand. Pretty balsey running it. Did you ever flip? Great run considering the gear!
No flips, and it's actually not a stern rig. I've run that place 5 times and never turned over. I would rather pull in big waves than push. Guess that's how I learned 25 years ago.
