@DanMcCollum as a resident of Peshtigo means something. especially since my house survived the fire

@trekkian88 I couldn't recommend 16 horsepower more. Amazing band. Woven hand and just his David Eugene Edwards stuff is great. Straw foot.

Thats how ya do it boy! People forget we hillbillies are very into history because they get their views from CMT and think we're the same as the rednecks.
Subjects that matter.

As a Wisconsinite, this song really means something. The peshtigo fire was a lot worse than than the Chicago fire wich occured the same day; stories tell of people fleeing to the Peshtigo river to escape the fire, but the fire was so hot that the river boiled. Amazing song!

I agree with gregphoto. You must see them live to get what they are about. I was skeptical for the first few tunes of their set.
They are not about musical perfection. They are about creating great music with warts.

@ byLivio: to each his own. See them live before you write them off though. The crowd they attract is amazing.
I asked for Bluegrass and Folk suggestions a little while ago and one person suggested O'Death. They said that they find all other Bluegrass boring because it's not O'Death. I assumed they were exaggerating or full of shit; I quickly realized that I was simply presumptuous.
