Aladdin & Jasmine at Aladdin's Oasis (1 of 3)

Witness Aladdin and Jasmine in this Adventureland storytelling and audience participation show.

This facility originally opened in 1962 as Tahitian Terrace, a Polynesian themed restaurant and show. Tahitian Terrace was replaced by Aladdin's Oasis in 1993 as a themed restuarant and show inspired by the 1992 hit animated feature film "Aladdin". Aladdin's Oasis only opened for two seasons and closed.

The facility reopened in January 1997 for "Aladdin & Jasmine at Aladdin's Oasis" where it remained open as a storytelling theater. The storytime closed May 4, 2008 in preparation for the May 22 opening of "Indiana Jones and the Summer of Hidden Mysteries". This entertainment offering has not returned to the park since even after the Indiana Jones summer promotion. This is located between "Walt Disney's Enchanted Tiki Room" and the "Jungle Cruise".

The show is great, but sometimes I feel sorry for the performers! If California heat is anything like Florida heat, it's a miracle Jasmine wasn't taken offstage in a bucket! Whose bright idea was it to have her wear so many layers?

@ztslovebird, I believe it's Jasmine's choice to wear layers or not. Seeing as I recorded this in the month of April, it may have been a little chilly at the time. I think there are other videos on Youtube of Jasmine in less layers during the show.

Correct. After Indiana Jones, it has not reopened as a storytime theater. On some days, they'll have meet and greets with Aladdin & Jasmine under the entrance canopy.

i got to see the real aladdins oasis dinner and show when i was little. it was so beautiful! it was night time and it was a full blown show with music and dancing and the genie with all the characters. and for desert we all had a gold magic lamp and when we rubbed it smoke came out and then we had our own genies bringing our own chocolate lamp with chocolate moose and berries. i can't believe its just used for storytelling. it was truly amazing and magical
