crummy ceiling fan+outdoors=this fan
-
@CeiIingFanLover Zack doesn't need to it's just a cheap Crapleton that no one would really care about too much.

It's a cheap fan that was half dead already, why not?

Looks like when the blades sagged it got more pitch. I'm wondering, did it move more air?

Not really, more pitch made the fan go slower, so not much improvement on air movement.

@mpsslovak Some fans I've seen have almost no pitch and when you put a little bit more pitch and it moved a lot more air, but it was a desk fan. Anyway, just wondering!

Portable fans concentrate the air movement a bit more than ceiling fans, so that little change was probably more noticeable, but ceiling fans follow the same concept. The issue here is, the motor is already underpowered. If you increase the pitch on say, a Casablanca, buy a few degrees, the motor will be able to handle it better, and not slow down so excessively, thereby pushing more air. Don't get me wrong, it will slow down, but not as much as an already underpowered motor.

It was pretty messed up when I removed it from my sister's house, fixed it a little before putting it out here so at least it didn't wobble too much.
