The problems and dysfunctional governance in Afghanistan have existed ever since the British waged wars of conquest on the region and imposed artificial borders. Re-draw this artificial British-made borders, and allow Afghans on both sides of the Durand Line to reunify into Pashtunistan. Then they can have their normal ethnic Pashtun identity, instead of an Islamic fundamentalist identity that makes them easy recruits for AlQaeda.

the khyber pass will kick your ass, domination of the silk road will only happen if we kill the whole population of afghanistan, which doesn't sound very reasonable to me, so get out, or suffer the same way the soviets did.

Bull shit. No Nation has ever conquered Afghanistan. Even Commie CHINA had better sense than to try., Alexander the great got bogged down in Mountains and valleys and turned back. This is NOT about helping Islamic Nations adopte Democracy which is fundamentally contrary to Islam in many ways, - - - - IT is about destroying AMERICA so Communist China can dominate... the world.
