Excellent review, i could get in to this one! the 3rd screen of gameplay looked very much like donkey kong with the colors that were displayed, an inspired game. thanks Gibby
-
@NEScapades - If you see one of my CGE Auctions the prices for them are mind boggling!
-
Great review Gibby! This one i've not heard before and it looks cool! The 2600 version looks too dated for my liking =P Cool concept of walking around trying to cover all the floors!!
-
@PS1CollectorForever - After I get done editing the gameplay video I basically just do a commentary on the finished vid using Audacity software, then import that audio into the project.
-
@PS1CollectorForever - Thanks Tyler!
I use a capture card (Dazzle DVD Recorder Plus) with pinnacle software. I never play emulators as I prefer the real carts/discs/systems/controller
s =P -
@OldSchoolNYCGamer - No problem NYC, thanks for watching. =)
I've had the 5200 copy since the mid 80's when I got the system but the 2600 I bought years later off eBay. I don't think I've ever seen either one out in the wild.
-
Thanks for showing this, this game in general is rare to get at a decent price anywhere unless you find this in the wild for very cheap.
I would love to get the 5200 version if possible myself one of these days. = )
-
@jillpoo3 - Thanks Dave!
It does come close to some early famicom and black box NES game for sure. Would have been nice if it had gotten a port on NES. The Gameboy version looks terrible but the mobile remake looks really good.
-
Hey! I like the 5200 version, it almost looks like a NES game haha!! Cool review! I'll have to keep an eye out for this game! Congrats almost on the 500 subs man!! Your videos are amazing! Keep up the good work!
-
@TheAtariJunkie - Yeah the liquefying upon death is awesome. =P
-
@neoflynn - In comparison 2600 version definitely looks trashy.
-
@snowcon3 - LOL Bracey.. old Bounty Bob went a little crazy in those mines and started chasing Indian chicks around butt-ass naked once he escaped.
I'm not @ 500 yet bro, maybe in a few weeks though.
-
@NEScapades That would be awesome! And also please, call me VK ;)
-
@thomas3120 - Strikes Back is the sequel. I'd love to play that one sometime but it's very rare for 5200 & 400/800 Atari systems.
-
@Bakemon13 - Thanks Bakemon! btw.. I plan to do a vid sometime to your open tag.
-
@RaulBillieJean - I still just use plain old MS Word =P
-
That is probably the single greatest death animation ever :')
-
Man, that's a great kill screen; he looks like he just melted away :)
-
Man this was a great game back in the day we used to have the Atari 800/400 version wich is similar to the 5200 version, sadly the 2600 version looks like shlock
-
So I was sitting here thinking, "Man, that guy in Miner 2049er really looks like the dude from Custer's Revenge" and then you said it. Well played, sir.
Awesome video as always and congrats on 500!
-
really like this game, have it on the 2600 and also on my ZX Spectrum. It's known as 'Bounty Bob Strikes Back' on the Spectrum
great vid
Interesting little game. Being a Canadian, I've gotta love the fact that you play as a Mounty, haha. I don't think I've have the patience for the 2600 version, but the 5200 looks like a fun title.
Great stuff as usual, brother. Thank you for the quality vids!

@RyHoMagnifico - Thanks for watching Ryan! The 5200 version does have some charm and the ability to warp around the levels is pretty cool.

I have this on the atari XL/XE along with its bounty bob sequel. Definitely better than the 2600 version. I also have the miner 2049er vol II on the 2600, but its not a sequel, just extra levels to the first game.

@atarileaf - I never even knew a vol II existed. That's pretty cool.
