In today's Common Sense, Neil Cavuto says he's still waiting for someone in the government to apologize to Toyota for claiming an electronic problem must be responsible for sudden acceleration problems.

  • they said those comments so it would make the bail out money for GM pick up sales and get money back if toyota is hurting a few months

  • I kept wondering why people didn't just shift to neutral and stop.

  • @jusomeguy That vehicle was found with the floor mat melted on top of the gas pedal. He was driving a lexus sedan with a lexus SUV mat in the car. He also refused to put the vehicle in Neutral or shut the engine off as was suggested by the 911 operator. 100% driver error.

  • i still think this isnt over with yet..this has been going on for a few years now with toyota..it is only recently that americans are aware of this..toyota knew there was a problem back in 2003 ..toyota was just able to ride on its old reputation ..toyota is not any better then other car manufactures out there...i for one , have not .nor will i ever buy a toyota

  • I guess that's what we get when we have our gov't so invested in GM. To think they would smear other manufactures is not far fetched. Like many others, i was always suspicious of the Toyota mud slinging. You may also recall the media frenzy surrounding that runaway Prius...

  • I doubt that the California Highway Patrolman who was killed, along with his family, was hindered by a floor mat...Some were certainly BS hopes to gain from a claim.
