This beautiful 11 yr old Oldenburg gelding is an amateur rider's dream horse. Garfield was successfully trained to compete and win in Europe at the Fourth Level. See more Dutch Warmbloods for all levels of Dressage rider at www.ColdstreamImports.com

  • needless to say that an Oldenburger does not belong to the dutch warmblood. because it is a german breed.

  • I think that this horse could be great mover [and is] but is being forced below the vertical by the rider seesawing on his mouth and kicking him. There re points when the horse just need to move his head to find his balance. he is not very light on the front end. sry if people dont like wat im saying, but its my opinion.

  • I see this problem on Youtube over and over again. Horses for sale, horse with great potentials ridden by brutal riders, horse below the vertical, completly boxed in, no lightness , just sheer force, if you look closely at the mirror reflexion, you see massive seesawing IN A DOUBLE ? in this video the horse has his mouth open to avoid the massive pressure THIS PEOPLE WANT US TO BUY THESE HORSES? I guess they think americans and the rest of the world are ignorant. that horse IS NO WAY 4 th level

  • There's a difference between Oldenburg and Dutch Warmblood.

  • God... why do people all reckon its down to this and that! Right the obvious problem here is the bit, the tongue is an incredibly sensitive muscle and such a bit would be excrutiating, the rider is asking the horse to take the bit so he is hollowing his back and throwing hs head, obvious no?

I reccomend haute cole. I can get my horse sam, to do the paiffe bareback with just the shifting of my weight and a touch on the flank. He is an ex racehorse so i think with a wb it would be no problem

  • Hmm, people are quite critical on Youtube! I like the horse. He looks a bit strong(perhapse he is used to a double bride?) but even through some tension, a nice mover. He would develop more self carriage through gymnastisizing. The first series of changes appear very straight (well done!) but the second line could be left out. The rider is tactful even if her lower leg could be a bit quieter.

  • i donot think he would make a good show jumper b/c of the lack of strength thru his back end

  • Wow he would make a great ranch horse... well if he had more balance to him thru the hips

  • WOW! he moves VERY nice!

  • Beautiful horse. But, 2 b honest, the video is quite boring. It would b much better if the graphic art were better.
