Thank you. I actually set up the blog which is probably why i have an error now. :)
But i subsequently changed permissions on every single item in the blog directory and it still happened. So now I use a flickr account to "host" the pic and just paste the url in my blog post. lol - seems to work...

It sounds as though you need to set the permissions correctly on your uploads folder. Since you don't seem to follow the error message, it sounds as though someone else set up your blog for you. Ask them to help you with this problem.
