Here an extract of my favorite film of the Italian director Pier Paolo Pasolini. Those which never saw film go your way :) Leave carried by the perfection of the music, the incredible play of the actress Anna magnani and especially by the tragic of this fantastic scene: Christ is not the only one to carry his cross, said to us Pasolini.

The piece of music you are looking for is Vivaldi of course (all the movie is with his music) and is "largo in Mi minore dal Concerto in Do maggiore per flautino, archi e basso continuo RV 443"

This movie and music are haunting, but incredibly moving and beautifully done. I just recently seen it on TCM which was shown for the first time. Anna Magnani is magnificent and a classic.

Yes. Actually I meant the piece in this clip. It is on the cd Vivaldi Concertos for Lute & Mandolin Il Giardino Armonico track number 5, Concerto in D minor RV 540 - Largo.

But what is the piece playing in this clip? Is this Boccherini or vivaldi? Do you know? If you do, please tell me, coz I've been trying to find this version for so long

Grazie Anna e Paolo!
