We ride to Ulu along a rocky track. The swell is small, but builds with the incoming tide. We climb down into the cave and see children playing in low tide pools, while women collect seaweed from the reef. Later on, the swell picks up and the afternoon session is solid 4 foot.
Those were the days of 'me carry! me carry!'

A mate and I were at Ulu in '84 & it was pumping - we were about 20 odd - got some great photos - great to be reminded. Thanks!
