My home (Dutch Colonial built in 1926) renovation as of August 2011. Stay tuned for the rolling credits at the end for detailed information about each project.

A few words on plumbing with PEX tubing: I highly recommend pexsupply.com for all your PEX needs. Their people are professionals and the customer service is excellent. I recommend the Uponor ProPEX fittings using the Wirsbo expander (the original) method of PEX connections over the crimping method (more commonly used by the trade and found in the big box stores). There are no metal fittings to corrode and the expander method uses grade a pex tubing which is the highest quality available. PEX tubing was developed in the 1960s using expander fittings method by a Norwegian company and has a long history in Europe. It wasn't introduced into the U.S. until the 1980s. PEX tubing is quieter than rigid piping, is freeze-break, chemical attack and creep deformation resistant, has fewer joints, and has a smooth interior that will not corrode which can affect other materials long term pipe flow characteristics.

The manifold home run system is a dream for constant water pressure and conserving on hot water usage.

More information on the luminaries and outdoor planter can be found in this video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IqGlTmylaY4&feature=player_profilepage .

  • where do you live? like what city... it looks lovely! =]

  • Well, at the time I'm watching this video they have removed the music but I do agree that sometime choice of music can be so off putting that I hit the back button right away. I also agree that narration is always preferable to music. Very pretty house! I will continue to watch...

  • Why don't you people who create these videos narrorate them rather than bombard the viewer/lsitener with this annoying music? You ruined a FINELY DONE video with this choice of annoying music.
