  • i want scottish independance, i think if we dont get it, i will feel betrayed by my own people :(

  • I think Scotland should stay with us, the Union Jack will look shit without them

  • @19grand Are you British? And if so then it is up to you. Independence would weaken both Scotland, England, Wales and Northern Ireland!!! We would see a lack of respect from the EU, NATO and the UN- we may even lose our VETO!!! As I said Scottish people are not thick they will see through the bullshit.

  • @MrXray2011 well you haven't really put accross any argument to convince anyone, in this case, me. Again, not up to me, up to the Scottish people.

  • @19grand

    1) Scotland would not "florish", it would be economically, politically and militarily weak.

    2) If the UK is to split becuase of Scotland then the UK should vote as a whole- why should Scotland and Scotland alone vote on the future of a country that we all live in and all pay taxes into.

You may have guessed that I am against Scottish Indendence, as are all of my Scottish friends. The people of Scotland are not thick they will see through Salmonds bullshit.

  • This could be a blessing in disguise for some of our economically underfunded regions.

The Royal Navy shipbuilding contracts would be brought down to Portsmouth or Barrow-In-Furness. Rolls Royce in Edinburgh would naturally come down as well. Scotland receives a vastly disproportionate amount of money in the form of defence contracts.

  • Scotland is a nice place to visit but it will never be to world power also it will not be a very rich country even with the oil and that is same for England. Currently UK is one of the top 10 rightest in the world which is amazing but if it break up we will be left with tiny little country (compared to other countries) which no respect from the world or the EU.

  • Cannot people just get along and be as one, instead of breaking up the world and making it more complicated.

  • I get the feeling as an outsider that Scotland would florish with independence.

I hasten to add that the final say will be with the Scottish people - their decision alone.
