depends what you like, Freddy had a great voice but it wasn't a traditional rock voice like Cornell has. Personally, I like the husky sounding rock voice than the smooth voices like Freddy etc

he hasnt got a 4 octave vocal range thats imposible freddie mercury could just about do two and hes the greatest vocalist ever, cornell is amazing dont get me wrong but hes not that good

He is much more than just being able to hold a note for a long time, with a four octave vocal range and one of the powerfullest vocal belting technique he is one of the greatest, voted 4th in top 100 rock singers of all time, David Cook wasnt on there.

You must be suffering from hearing loss :S....ill admit he can hold a note but not for long. He doesn't have the best vocals in music, that's for sure
