The Right to Trial

Human rights was revolutionized in the year 1215 when the Magna Carta forbid the arbitrary detention and imprisonment of people without a trial. This was not universally applied at that time, but it has since become an internationally recognized right all of us are entitled to. So why is it still violated? It is up to us to insist this right be enforced.People often judge us based on preconceived notions. Our rights can be curtailed because of prejudice. It is vital that this right, article 11 of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, be enforced. It's not just a matter of courts and tribunals. It happens every day, all around us.
