NHL Corey Perry incident with Evgeni Nabokov

Anaheim Ducks Corey Perry crosschecks San Jose Sharks goaltender Evgeni Nabokov after making a save. The incident in question is whether or not Nabokov intended to injure Perry with his toe when he turned over on the ice to get up after the attack.

Perry, suspended four games in January for an elbow to the head of Philadelphia Flyers rookie Claude Giroux, said he had fallen on the back of Nabokovs legs but denied there was a cross-checking motion or anything of the sort.

'Everything was over,' Perry said, 'I was still lying there on my knees. All of a sudden, Nabokov just turned and kicked me. He rolled onto his side and kicked me with his right leg. He hit me with his toe.'

'I didnt kick him,' Nabokov said. 'I was moving my legs to get up, to get out of there, so whatever he was saying is his problem. Ask him what he did. Its over with, so who cares? We got the two points, and were going home.'

Praise the lord that Corey Perry was not injured in this malicious attempt by Evgeni Nabokov to permanently sever Perry's career in one fell swoop. Evgeni, may god have mercy on your violent soul, for the Ducks shall not.

The apparent kick comes after Perry slashed Nabby in the leg, not once but at least twice. You can barely tell if its a kick, Nabby could just be rolling over and Perry was in his way for Nabby to get up. I don't think Nabby will get anything. Perry may get a double whammy though.

Nah, it's at about 0:14 in the video, at least the one that Perry is complaining about. You can see Nabokov turning to get up with his arms after he had already turned to see who was crosschecking him. Look to the left of Michalek at the Duck sitting precariously close to Nabokov's skates.
