You have to appreciate the fact that these steel drum performers travelled to an isolated area in the hills of middle Tennessee where there is no electricity. They provided a wonderful show lit up only by bonfire, LED strings of battery powered lights and headlamps! The scene was surreal with our man, Flash tracing firelight in the air with his combustible juggling. The lighting was limited with only smatterings of the whole of the Oberlin group visible... I have just some highlights of the music with one full uninterrupted piece. To feel the full effects of what it's like to experience so many drums at the same time is best witnessed live! My wish is that they come back again, make me feel like dancing in front of a fire and feeling very tribal with humanity!
Please come back, Oberlin Steel Drum Band!

As for the intro - I felt it was important to get a sense of where the performance was taking place... It's out there. The initial music is very spot on!
Goddess, it makes me homesick for Short Mountain. I wish this fantastic group could play there on Beltane!
