Market Research: Greenspoint Local Economy

Today we had some fun running around the Greenspoint Mall checking out local stores and business. At Gelt Inc. we work hard to insure the markets we are investing in are strong and robust. We researched the local economy by walking into grocery stores, business, shops, and asking real people how things are going locally. We also walk into comparable apartment buildings in the area to research rent rates and unit mixes.

Market research is the same process manufacturers, suppliers and retailers use to price their goods and services. Market research is simply the process of asking and answering important questions that pertain, in our case, to the rental property market and the local economy.

* What are people renting?
* Are there quality tenants renting in this area?
* What vacancy rates are local shopping centers experiencing?
* Are local shopping centers busy with people or empty?
