a song especially grave for members for the merchant marine in 1944 when it was recorded by Cisco Houston and Woody Guthrie. but this song is always of actuality because many sailors die on the sea. the wives of Sailors always tremble.
sorry for the last three strophes I composed myself because I had not the lyrics on paper and by listening the song, I didn't understand the true words.
the good lyrics are:

I said "take it please
And let the pedals fall
Upon his watery grave"

and I've composed:

Life for you
It could plead and save
And night and day I want to pray.

poignante lorsqu'elle fut enregistrée
par Cisco Houston et Woody Guthrie en
1944 alors que beaucoup de marins mouraient en mer. mais elle est constamment
d'actualité car depuis toujours
la mer prend beaucoup de marins. les
femmes de marins tremblent toujours comme avant.
