  • perfect. what a great rendition. loved it.

  • I've known James for 6 years now. And I can say with the utmost respect that not only is he an amazing player, but a truly great person. Well done James!

  • No dislikes... That's what I like to see on such an amazing video.

Oh I'm not referring to chords, just to the range of the instruments. James Hill has access to more complete arpeggios and has a wider range of notes to choose from. So certain ways of playing songs sound better on different configurations. Chords can be transposed, but the fact is that a wider range of notes is more verseatile, and give more leverage. So, Jake works with less range and thus gives a different appeal to all his songs. XD sorry if this was confusing.

  • @ChanimalCrackers The open chord for James' ukulele is D. Jake's ukulele open chord is the traditional C. I don't know if Jake can play D chord, but James can play both. It's not too hard to learn the D chord. Just need to learn how to transpose the keys.

Don't forget that James Hill has more notes to work with. His ukulele is a low G, while Jake's is a high G. Jake only has about 2 octaves to work with. The two are practically different instruments.

  • @jblackbath I'd say James. I've hung around with other talented musicians at a musical camp. James' improvisation skills make Jake's written music sound at an intermediate level. Can Jake tap his fingers on his ukulele sound box, sing, and play simultaneously? Search: James Hill and Billy Jean on YouTube. You'll be amazed.

  • @hoorano Jake is also more musically interresting. James is more traditional.

Maybe my explanations were too advanced for you? What if I talk more in a language you might understand: Goo-goo-ga-ga, music + competition = good.

If that's still to much for you I can always take out the puppets, douchebag! rotfl!!!
