Short excerpt from my interview with Les on Snoozer, from Sept. 22, 2008. Audio is pretty poor. Thank goodness I got a backup!! And Eddie Lang passed away in 1933..... Maybe I can't think straight under pressure.

  • Thanks for the post. I read somewhere that at one time Snoozer claimed he never cut any records with Whiteman, and that Whiteman just sent him around to play at parties. Some of Snoozer's contemporaries thought he was just as good if not better than Eddie Lang. When times got tough in 1930 Whiteman had to cut a lot of his "more expensive" talent, including Venuti and Lang.
