sorry for any offence caused at least I made you laugh. However lets say that it has become a traditional irish song as a result of the number of irish who now play it. In a sense it is traditionally played all over Ireland. I don't think Steve would be to annoyed at my description since he was living in Galway when he wrote the song and first sang the song. One final point you do not need to be Irish to write a traditional irish song.
