I"m reading this book now. It's great! He's a brave little cat. He looks so much like my Salem that passed away a year ago from liver cancer. Salem could see, but he was a tiny black cat like Homer.

He looks just like my Schatzi. She isn't blind but she also had a crazy kittenhood as I was her fourth home before she was year old. She is the sweetest animal I have ever encountered. I feel like Homer is her long last relative. The book is wonderful, I am telling all my friends to get it. :)
