Sorry about the audio! This is the 2nd ride on this 2yr old colt. I like to make the first few rides short & sweet, the last thing I want to do is make them mad or scare them, so I just move them around quiet for 5-10 minutes & call it a day.

mr pd, i have a 3 yr old mare she is really nice but she always has her ears pinned when im on her in the round pen. she used to take a saddle really well but one day, i wasnt there and my lil brother rode her and every since when i go to saddle her she snorts and blows at me and some times bucks but when i walk her out she stops and is normal, what do you think happened?

I like the way you think...short, sweet, to the point, and in a way the horse can understand...now that's training :) Do you always ride in a martingale though? Just curious...

@catfreak8008 Yes I always use a martingale when I'm in one of my ring chain bits & don't use them when I go to one of my chain gags. This is just stuff that has worked for me for a long time. Check out my web site.

He goes to bucking and you spur him a few times, and he thinks "Huh, when I bucked that was kind of unpleasant." You dont make him buck or show him how to buck you just do a little discipline.
