Taken is about a former government spy named Bryan Mills (played by Liam Neeson) who is trying to get back into his daughter Kim's (played by Maggie Grace) life after much time not spent with her in her youth. Trouble early on ensues as she tells him of a trip to Paris, with her friends and after little time he accepts and signs her passport for her. Early upon her arrival, BAM! She is taken and Bryan Mills hears it happen while on the phone with his daughter Kim and he is pissed about it.

One of the major things that I really enjoyed about this movie is that it has a air of comedy in Liam Neeson's methods of fighting. I found it incredibly hard to fight the chance to chuckle at what I was watching, seeing Neeson disarm people, start beating on them then jab them in the throat. He basically dominates in every fight and his reaction is oh so subtle about it.

I give Taken two thumbs up for being a fantastic action movie that anyone could enjoy watching (especially with friends and family) because what says enjoying a movie like seeing someone like Liam Neeson beating them life out of 90% of the cast and being able to laugh at and enjoy it? IMDB Rating: 8.0/10.

  • Nice Review!

  • @Barclay1987 Thanks a ton for the nice comment!

  • like a james bond with out all the government rules

  • @GameCritic101 One thought on that is that I find Liam's "I'm going to protect my daughter even if I have to kill you" attitude is very understandable and adds a level of sympathy for him that I don't readily have for 007.

  • @gregarganda Your Welcome Anytime!

  • @gregarganda yeah i get what you are saying but its like a james bond action type movie because he is a former spy and the british government or mi6 something like that controls what james bond does while in taken the dad does what ever he wants

  • @Steveman27 Liam Neeson's character is forced to be put into a real bad situation, no one wants to have their daughter being forced to be a sex slave, he simply had to deal with it. John McClaine from Die Hard never wanted to deal with terrorists taking his wife hostage, he jsut had to deal with it accordingly.

  • @gregarganda I saw this movie 2 years ago from Redbox and I hated it because it pissed me off. It was horrible the things he did, the movie was depressing because of all the unnecessary death and havoc that didn't have to happen just to get someone back. and yes, hurting or possibly killing innocent bystanders to, it pissed me off that he never paid for the unnecessasry things he did. I hate this movie so much that I might to the actor Liam Neeson personally, giving him my personal opinion.

  • Didn't think it was funny but still it wasnangood movie
