Greg: I went for the FR7...after playing it and the FR3X I decided I liked the "feel" of the FR7
It's definitely much lighter and easier to play than my Excelsior, but not the same sound. I guess it's a get used to it thing. The acoustic has much more "presence" when you play it.
But that's only my opinion......Other than that, I can't fault the FR7.

@747man1 If you are comfortable with it and like it that is all that matters. They both take some getting used too if you have been playing acoustic prior. It pretty funny, if I play an acoustic it now seems to feel strange. Lots of luck, enjoy and you made a good choice.
Where are you located, btw?

Is the 3 X very much better than the 3S ? I have located one of each, and will be going to try them out next week.

@747man1 Yes the 3X has much more in terms of capabilities which include organ sounds, drums, ability to play audio wav files and a USB interface. Go for the 3X.

@747man1 I only kept this (FR3S) for one month. I liked it so much I traded up and purchased a FR-3X....See other videos. The 3X is absolutely amazing.....
