Baby washington it'll never be over for me . sue.Justine Baby Washington recorded several songs early in her career under the name "Jeanette Washington," which has led to confusion between her and a younger funk vocalist who recorded under the same name.

  • Such a romantic song, actually. Justine was the deal back in the day. Saw her perform this in Chicago. She was so cute. Every time she danced to her songs, she had a little cha-cha beat. One of the greatest, most underrated singers I've ever seen though. Hear she's still performing, hey! Thanks!

  • i met her in 1993 , she looked real good !! Erik Vonderlieth

  • As a very very long standing rare soul fan collector, and events promoter. this record or should I say the timi yuro version has been the holy grail. But by christ doesn't this fight hard to challenge it absolute magic brill posting 5 stars to the man Pat Allen "he Burnley & Pendle soul club.

  • It may be debatable but the only other artist that came close to Justine Washington's voice power was Evelyn Champagne King. Both ladies have voices larger than life and both are my favorite. It's hard to classify them for their earthiness and range.

  • I read recently that Baby Justine Washington is still performing. It warmed my heart. She did sing the music of my life. I honestly didn't like a singer any better than I liked her. She was indeed my family's favorite. Hope she works her way back to Chicago. The Regal theater is gone where I saw her perform, but there will always be a place to accommodate this powerhouse. What a beautiful talent. Bless her. Peace :D

  • @MrJanesaddiction Don McLean said it. He was right. The music that died didn't keep up with what kids wanted in those days @ 2:22 song they could dance to. In reality only a few white singers outside R&B could do that. I heard "I wanna hold your hand" when we were cruising late at night in Dec 1963. The UK groups reworked all that had gone before especially R&B. It was dance music at first but then the Beatles changed the methods of music forever. Dancing was over & protesting was in.

  • This woman was the real deal in the early and mid sixties. Heard she still performs. Her voice is so rich and pure. Couldn't help but fall in love when listening to something like this. Go Justine Baby Washington!

  • Timi Kuro did an excellent job on this song. Her base was in Las Vegas & she was one of Elvis' favorite female singers. I love it!

  • Baby Washington sang the s... out of this song!

  • Sheer poetry!!

    Beautiful..thanks so much for sharing.

    I'm in bliss..
