Its almost a guarantee that even with an independent nation that the economy would be extremely crap... I seriously doubt that any of the soldiers actually fighting know how to run an economy... even civilians in support would have no idea since they keep destroying schools and libraries.

what a waste of money..... why not just give the MNLF what they want, get peace talk done. Use the money for bullet to develop Philippine. Focus the money to develop the people.. what will Philippine gain from a 400 hundred years old war ? ........ nothing....
