An infrared LED or any IR emitting things like TV remote controls can play beautiful music with a Wiimote.
I paired the Wiimote with my laptop via Bluetooth and hacked it using GLovePIE. The Wiimote has an IR camera at the front end, so it can see the IR sources ahead and send the data to the computer. I mapped the displacements of IR spots sampled by the Wiimote to music pitches. When the IR source is moving faster, a higher pitch is produced.
