  • Question: Maybe I'm missing something but why didn't they swing the boom 180 degrees, raise the tail end to level position using the boom and bucket and then with a little assist with the hydraulics use the boom to push alittle, they could have traveled right on across???

  • the machine is set up to only crawl on flat or close to flat ground. the travel controls are on the left side down beside the seat so to work them takes your left hand. if there would have been 2 people in the cab it may have been able to be done but that is agaisnt regulations to have more than one person in the cab during crawling operations.

  • wouldnt it have been easier to build a less steep ramp for it to climb? Thats the only trouble with grouser-less tracks fitted to the larger demags and the larger O&Ks less grip

  • had to go under power lines.

  • didnt notice them in the vid mate, did they get it up easy enough with the D11?

  • yep crawled rite out then, the D11R CD was pulling and they wasnt ready he was just digging big deep trenches.
