This is a song I wrote back in about 1996 when I was living in Kansas City about an old Plymouth Valiant I had. It's pretty much a true song about having to get rid of the car but knowing it was going to about the prettiest junkyard I'd ever come across that was over on the Kansas side of Kansas City. The song is on my album "The Sandhill Waltz" which is songs from my days in Kansas City and the Twin Cities - Minneapolis/ St. Paul, Minnesota. This take here has a new ending part - melody that I'm humming that I haven't had before. It was recorded yesterday - 5-24-09. I know I sound like Neil Young on this one.
Thanks so much Dutch! Glad you like it! I might have to start working on coming up with a better version than what I have on my album. You can hear that version at my myspace page - I just posted it yesterday there.
