This film is no avatar wannabe. Its from a series of books first published somewhere between 1910 and 1920. Its written by the same guy who wrote tarzan. Awesome series, but to me this film doesnt look like it will do the books justice. No ones made a film of the books because special effect were never good enough. Oh and the jumping thing is because there is a lower gravity level on mars than earth. So I dont think avatar could inspire a story written before WW1. Do you?

Now and days most movies and characters are just cliches with bad stories and all graphics. Learn a little history before you assume that this is ripping off or combining movies.

The special effects now are great just not in this film. I wouldnt expect disney to be the leading brand in action films. Had you even fucking heard of the books or author or fucking anything to do with it before this film came out? No? Because if you didnt you shouldnt be fucking lecturing people on what its meant to be.
