  • as Jimi Hendrix was "God Of Guitar", Alex Hurricane Higgins" was "the God of Snooker" a personality like him comes once in generations, live a typical and peculiar life but what they achieve can never be matched and they acts become a milestone for others and a challange to achieve. after Alex now there is no sign of good old snooker. players of present do not even wear bowties. the only player who can stand in the class of Joe Davis, Ray Reardon and John Spencer is none other than Alex Higgins

  • a man...faults and all...but still a man....rip....wonderful player

  • Still had a great touch on the table, even then!

And by god...........did that pint off guiness look nice!

Never forget you you old friend! RIP

  • Yes , There is no cure for snooker addiction !

  • A rough diamond and a genius on the snooker table - rip alex.

  • So many bullshit comments.

Alex was thegreatest talent, like he said himself, and like his adversaries have confirmed.

Pure, raw genius like his is so rare. Let's celebrate it.

    Long live The Hurricane.

  • An icon of the game. But I am glad that Steve Davis re-defined the game to a higher level.

  • Ohw...he looked terrible...I'm sort of glad he hasn't got any pain anymore...he was a fantastic player...

  • he was a dog

  • Your a legend Alex and a genius because you won the world championship twice without being a Steve Davis clone in terms of technique but you shouldn't have been so full of yourself. You were an outstanding entertainer because you were a great potter and people love to route for the underdog. But facts are facts. Ray Readon was the greatest of 70's snooker, Davis the 80's, Hendry the 90's+,and O'Sullivan/John Higgins the best after that. The greatest players win the most titles and you didn't . RIP.
