ram is not gonna effect your boot time, try it with 1 gig and you'll get the same result. this computer is so slow!

@MacMike1000 3.2 quad core

damn bro 51 seconds it took that sucks! I have a macbook pro with 4GB ram and it starts in less then 15 seconds something is def wrong
-
i've read somewhere, that in order to fully utilize the memory, that each ram-block should match each other in terms of both capacity and speed, and that they should also match the speed of the motherboard, by either having same speed as motherboard, or the motherboard-speed being some multiple of the ram-speed.

@Vodje01 This is a first RAM boot so the computer can configure the new ram, normal start ups will be quicker.

lol my hackintosh boots faster :D
I just got a mac for Xmas(3.2 quad core 5870 3gb of ram 5.1)I am able to play crisis on the 2nd highest settings with 2x AA and war head maxed with 2x AA.In crisis I notice it gets choppy when my ram usage reaches 92%.So I guess I'm going for OWC 12gb(3x4gb)ram.Is this going 2 be enough?

@lazy4u1 Trust me thats going to me a more than enough its going to be an even more beautiful machine after you do get that but i saw you play black ops an it looks fine but you need more than 3gigs if your going to be running a game as demanding as that on your mac if you are using other apps in the background an please let me hear the sound over the video next time you do post a video not music i hate that ....

Hey nice video, I'm thinking of purchasing a Mac Pro soon, which model do you think is more value 2.4GHz 8-Cores, 2.8 Quad-Core or 3.2 Quad Core?
Thanks,
