The famous Star Wars Saga has - that cannot be ignored - connections to reality. Let us recognize them.

  • wtf with the end. The rebels were nothing like Hitler's regime.

  • @IbanezRG7321

Once more: The ending should not show ideological parallels, it should just show the similiarity of the endings of "Star Wars Episode IV" and "Triumph of the Will".

  • Whats this new country in the video @ 2:11? North Corea? When was this discovered?

  • And some wisdom words like "Good is a point of view" or "All who gain power are afraid to lose it". Sidious was in a evil secret society and also into the occult when says the Sith are into things some consider unnatural where the Jedi just says death is a part of life.

And throughout SW, it was all about fear. Fear of separatists, stormtroopers, fear of technological terror like the Death Star.

The regional governors were dissolved. Like FEMA regions, Super Congress..

    Art imitates life.

  • You forgot that Sidious also staged false flags, controlled the opposition, used problem-reaction-solution to exploited invented crises and was part of a secret society (Sith). The Naboo blockade, the attack on Coruscant, Dooku, Grievous, Trade Federation, and the Separatist threat of war.

And that once he had all the powers, the true patriots and defenders of the republic (Jedi) were crushed by the army.

It took a galactic war to create his new order, just like the League of Nations and UN

  • Have fun tackling the Yuzhang Vong with a a galaxy in civil war, with no mass fleets and committed leadership...

  • LOOK AT THE USA NOW. DO YOU NOT SEE WHAT HAS HAPPENED?!?!?!

  • @Bugenhagenification I never said he said it was groundbreaking. I was just making the point that incorporating elements of history as the masses know it helped to make it clear to all and sundry how evil the Empire was in just the first film in the original trilogy. With a series of books, it's easier to go into all of that, but Lucas had to convey that in the limited time span allowed by a film. Job done.

  • @TJ347 he never said it was groundbreaking he just documented it in detail. I know caesar won the civil war but I still watch documentaries and read books about it

  • I hate rebels i love the empire

  • @IbanezRG7321 the nazi celebration was compared with the rebel celebration.Of course everyone who has watched starwars will know that the rebels were not like hitler in any way

  • No offense, but to say that in making the Star Wars saga, Lucas (like every other film maker in history) consciously or subconsciously made ties with the real world isn't exactly groundbreaking. For instance, making parralels with the Third Reich made it easier to understand just how evil the Galactic Empire was. There is no better way to do things like that than to incorporate elements of reality.
