Carnival Passenger: Most 'Deplorable Conditions'

Passengers who finally escaped the disabled Carnival cruise ship Triumph were checked into hotels early Friday for a hot shower, food and sleep or riding buses back to Texas after five numbing days at sea on a powerless ship. (Feb. 15)

Actually, Carnival might be on to something here. Sell “Misery Cruises”. Including no air conditioning, no bathrooms, no food, no clean water, no place to sleep. Carnival could call it the “See Americas future of republican austerity programs to cut spending for social programs and growth in order to cut taxes for billionaires tour”. I feel some sympathy for these vacationers but the truth is their suffering will end. But for those screwed over by the republicans, that suffering is forever!
