@seanboweny Because this is the only footage of him I could find. Unless someone has access to old archive footage, noone is going to be able to make a video of his defensive plays.
Maybe one day I'll get a job at Sky and steal all their old tapes, but until then this is the best I can do ;)

@FALC0NKNEE He was offside so he couldn't get involved

4:22, keeper giving himself a wedgie in repentence! Yes, 2nd time watching this in 2 days!

Defence to attack in a snap! Love watching Viera goals because they often involved other team members. Although there were some fantastic solo efforts, you really get the sense of 'team spirit' with him. Great video. I almost forgot how ruthless we used to be.

anyone wish we have the old arsenal?

Prime Vieira as a BEAST!

8.25 henry don't wanna be a part of the rapage

@MrRenoog I don't think he meant the shot/pass from Jeffers. I think he meant the ridiculous piece of skill preceding it.

Great video. Vieira was such an awesome player, a genuinely great allround midfielder. He could do it all. I know he was past it when he left, but I always missed him. One of my heroes.

2:56 I cried

would of liked to have seen some of his unreal tackling on there but still a good player.. I'm a Liverpool fan and him and Steven Gerrard would be in the middle of the park all day for an all time Premier League 11

Woah! Can somebody tell me who made that pass at 5.30 - 5.35?

Patrick is my most admired player ever, but i know you guys are saying that he's a defensive midfield, but in this video he seems more attacking, not like a kaka or zidane, but he was forward alot. How did Patrick do this, like play defensive midfield, but score many goals, like isn't he out of position if he's forward?

@tombstone569 He wasn't a defensive midfielder, more like box-to-box centre midfielder. In fact he played nearly all of his career with a defensive midfielder supporting him from behind (Petit, Gilberto, even Edu who was a deep-lying passer). However he had very good defensive skills and could drop back to play defensive midfielder alongside his partner, but never by himself.
