It's a well known fact that hippos are the friendliest animals known to man. If you see a hippo, the smartest thing to do is get as close to it as you can as quickly as you can (they get bored easily, so moving up to them slowly may cause them to get bored and walk away) and pet it as hard as you can. They have a thick skin so you REALLY need to pet it hard for them to enjoy it, they also like being slapped. They also LOVE kisses!
