Hello Visitor, I decided to have a go at making this simple flying toy from an empty 2 Litre Soft drink bottle using simple tools from around the home that every one has at there dispossal. It was really easy to make in under two hours.

  • i used to buy these all the time when i was younger the whole family had fun flying them and i was looking to order one but i didnt want to pay shipping and i dont think they any longer sell them in store where i live so im going to try and make this thank you

  • @atvchick09 Hello, your very welcome, post a comment after you have made one and let us know how yours goes.

    Cheers MagicBytes

  • nice vid mate ,i was curious after seeing the retail version on making my own so first was paper although a few pessimistic fools said that you cannot i have proved that you can & very easy although is not really an outdoor flyer unless calm & also will not fly that far but still an interesting paper glider, so next will be a plastic bottle & i will follow your design & see how it goes, if it works good then as im a fabricator/welder i will try a rolled alluminium version & i may even do a vid:)

  • Hello ARCEYE78, thank you for visiting this YouTube video and posting your comment, nice to hear from you, yes please do make a video of your aluminum version and let us know the link to it so we all can view it. Wish you all the best on your design, Cheers from MagicBytes :)

  • kudos to you my friend!!!

it work just as good as the retail!!!

all i did was add tape to the front!!

maybe if you could, i am not saying you have to,make another video about adding more tape and improvements

  • Well Done ! MarcusLKF001, its really nice to see some people are using there imagination and taking a step further and experimenting, I never thought of adding tape, well done Marcus :D, Thanks for watching my video and taking the time to reply, when I get time I will add your suggestion to my next video, thanks Marcus, Cheers from the MagicBytes.

  • this video sucks!!!! no instructions at all i couldnt find the right way to fold the paper to where it was cut right or fold the bottle. i dont know how everyon else got it right

  • you should make a video of u throwing yours

  • @Psycho983 Maybe it's the way you throw it, I know I had trouble getting to fly myself, then I watched the a vid of the X-Zylo and saw how they threw it in the video ^^

  • I saw this video and decided to try this myself. My first go proved unsuccessful but i persevered and have finally made one that flies...and flies well!

  • wonderful tutorial, but for some reason, mine does not fly...it will kinda wobble around and then drop... Im not sure what i did wrong, do you have any advice? But like i said, wonder ful toturial and cool use of your imagination and intelect to create the x-zylon.

  • My X-Zylo doesn't Fly Yo !!!! ;)

  • @atvchick09 if you go to vat 19.com they sell these for about 8 dollars with free shipping

  • this is truly a good video... keep it up

  • i like part 1:47

  • Very cool instructional - would have liked to see it thrown. How does it fly in comparison to the real thing?
